Overview
Speech and language development follows a predictable pattern in early childhood. When a child is not meeting milestones — such as saying first words by 12 months, combining words by 24 months, or being understood by strangers by age 3 — early intervention can make a profound difference.
Our therapists conduct a comprehensive assessment to determine whether the delay is in speech (how sounds are produced), language (understanding and use of words and sentences), or both. We then design a play-based, family-centred therapy programme to stimulate development.
Parents are central to the therapy process — we teach home strategies that accelerate progress between sessions.
